Connection issues with peripheral devices like the Magic Keyboard can be frustratingly elusive to resolve. But after going down a rabbit hole of online forums and tweets, I finally found a solution that worked, all thanks to the folks at @AppleSupport.

Today, I want to share this life-saving hack with you, hoping it might save someone else from the frustration I faced.

The Magic Solution for Magic Keyboard

First and foremost, make sure that your MacOS is up to date. To check if you have the latest update, click on the Apple menu at the top left corner of your screen, then choose “About This Mac” > “Software Update.” If an update is available, follow the prompts to install it.

Next, you need to delve a little into the MacOS filesystem. Don’t worry — it’s simpler than it sounds.

  1. Press and hold the Option key, then go to “Finder” on your menu bar and choose “Go > Library.” The Library folder will open.
  2. Within the Library folder, find and open the “Preferences” folder.
